    Mod-xy Simple X / Y carriage design.. No drill :')

Basically i am wanting to make a 3d printer where as much of it is 3d printed (Tevo tornado clone). With aluminium extrusion for the frame. No drilling required. Obviously 3d printing a x & y carriage is possible. But i find alot of companies have off cuts of 2080 & 2060 V-slot. So the material for the Y carriage minus the 3d printed arms and the x carriage. Cost me £2.10 per piece cut to size. Plus it has the advantage of being fully metal and easy to mount on. obviously its alittle thicker so you will loose a little print space. But it is rather cost effective & Because all you need to print is the arms for the Y carriage. A printer can print a printer without getting smaller and smaller.heres some videos of some experimenting.X carriage https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PSEdNAUpb9QY carriage https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kNdhETEsaSIHope this sparked afew ideas.Kind regards,Rick
