    Total newbie needs some help

    Hi,
I have a dwg file which is a 3d model of an item. It has no measurements on it.
What i'd like to do is "flatten" the model to 2D and turn them into flat CAD drawings.

I have no CAD software so wondered if this was possible in a free download (mac) and an explanation of how it can be done.
(Will i need to add my own dimensions for example or are they somewhere hidden?)

    Thanks kindly

    Add jfkansas on Thingiverse
Try Autodesk's Fusion 360 product. Not sure on the "flattening" part. There is a new feature of the software that does 2d drawings from 3d models. I haven't used that part yet but it was just added. There should be some videos on how it works on their site.
