Japanese Designer Create a HUGE Delta 3D Printer - 4 Meters Tall

Bigger is better right? Whether you agree with me or not, some designers at a company called Genkei believe so. They have developed a 4 Meter tall Delta Style 3D printer, which is on display at a museum next week. The printer is in the process of being assembled, but it is fully expected to work. What will they print with it? Only God knows, but it should be interesting to see if they have it printing anything out at the exhibit. We will keep you updated on details as they begin printing with it. Read more, as well as check out the video and photos at: http://3dprint.com/8835/japan-huge-delta-3d-printer/

Wait, so they want to use a filament fed extruder for this? It says he wanted to use pellet-based, what is stopping them on that front? They're going to be spending weeks per print on this thing...

    I just obtained another video:

You make a good point Feign. I dont know why they don't use pellets. Maybe they plan on doing it.

Awesome project! I wonder how weight issues are dealt with at that height!
