I also need help choosing a printer

I'm looking for a high quality printer within the $2700 price range. I'm not worried about the speed really but I want something with a high quality, at most a 100 micron layer, preferably less. Something with the printing dimensions of the makerbot replicator two, around the cubic size of a basketball, and a 1.75mm extruder. If you could refer me to some filament brands that would also be appreciated. I'll be printing different things in general really so I don't have anything in particular to print. I just want high quality.
