    Tarnsformation

    Hi everybody,
I have bought Anycubic Chiron and I am relatively happy with it.
The after sale service is not at all up to the standard but I'll manage.
My question is if I get myself a new motherboard with the possibility of dual extruder (one nozzle) and add another extruder to the system, would it work?
Obviously I will have to rearrange the Slicer to recognize the printing volume and other thing I suppose.
I would appreciate some help on this as I am very new in 3D printing, but done a lot of Rapid Prototyping in the past.
    Many thanks in advance.

Thanks for your prompt response, I really appreciate it.
Does the motherboard come with the Firmware or do I have to do that too in your opinion?

Oh one more thing that I have forgotten to ask is about the Screen on my Chiron, would it work with the new mother board or do I have to change that too?

    Cheers

screens are usually interchangeable. You have to set it in the firmware.

Most boards come with firmware installed. Depending on what you buy, you can change it if you want to.

I like smoothieware for a couple of reasons.

Updating the firmware is as simple as adding files to the sd card and powering up the board., Likewise the configuration file is a tect file you copy to the sd card.

Most firmwares need stupidly complicated 3rd party software to flash the firmware.
