3D Printed Mortar-less Bricks for Home Construction
Researchers have created 3D printed ceramic mortar-less brick like objects which interlock to form larger structures like buildings and homes. The bricks, called Polybricks were created on a powder based 3D printer called the Zcorp 510. They interlock in such a way that no adhesive needed between pieces. Future applications for such bricks could be home building. What do you guys think? Is this a better alternative then printing an entire house on site? Below is an image of a couple Polybricks:

Very cool, but why doe they need to be 3D printed? Could the bricks be created from a mold more easily?

Each brick is different, assembled according to the numbers on them into a larger complex shape. It's pretty much the only kind of brick you can't make with a mold.
I'd love to see what they assemble into, though, the individual bricks by themselves are kind of unimpressive.
