    MakerBot Replicator Z18 Starts to Ship

    Good news for those who ordered the Large Makerbot Replicator Z18 3D Printer early this year. Makerbot has has just announced, 6 months after they unveiled their largest 3D printer yet, that the first printers have been shipped. The remainder of the Z18 orders placed up until today will all be shipped out within the next few weeks. Those who ordered will receive an email as soon as their printer is shipped.     It looks like a nice machine, but for that price, it seems like it should be advertised as capable of using ABS. I think it probably can do it, but all the documentation & marketing information only mentions PLA, and they don't sell ABS in spools compatible with the machine.
