Why is my printer purging filament before each print?

    Hi there,

I have a problem with my 3D printing. Why is my printer purging filament before each print?

    Thank you in advance

It is merely priming the Extruder to begin your 3D Print.
This is done in the Slicer and is editable by you.

This is my Start up G-Code that set this extrusion.

    G1 E4.0 ;prime extruder

    G1 - Linear Move
    E4.0 - E=Extruder , 4.0 millimeters

What 3D Printer do you have?
    What Firmware is it using?
    What Slicer are you Using?

This is the purpose of the “skirt” - to get the filament flowing before it starts printing. I have my skirt set for 4, meaning it will go around your model 4 times. You could try changing the height too.
