We would like to present the prototypes of the integrated servo drive that were developed as an alternative in applications where stepper motors are currently used.

Please let us know if you would like to use our drives in your next 3D printer/scanner, laser cutter etc. build. Gathered feedback will be used to decide if a commercial future of these products is feasible and possible changes to the design.

Integrated servo drive specifications:
Mechanical interface: NEMA 23/24
Supply voltage: <50 VDC
Maximum torque: 1,2 Nm (MiDrive 5020); 0,6 Nm (MiDrive 5010)
Continuous torque: 30-45% of the maximum torque
Maximum speed: 4000 rpm without loss of torque (at > 32 V)
Interfaces: STEP/DIR (adjustable steps up to 8192/rev); PWM (speed control); RS-485 and CAN protocols with multi-axis control support

Price:
Since affordability was one of the goals of the design it makes sense to disclose it
. According to the latest estimations we should be able to get the cost in the 120 ? 150$ area.

Check out our video and photos of the first prototypes in action:
