Need help picking between printers for a first unit

Hi all, brand new to the forum, and first post. I'm new to the world of 3d printing/printers, but i'm very much into everything DIY. I've watched from afar for a while, and decided I want to take the plunge. I really need to watch my budget, which limits the possible models I can get for my first 3d printer. (You can blame my astronomy/astrophotography hobby for that ) I've been trying to do my due diligence, reading reviews, comparing features etc... Of course there will be pros and cons for every model, and likewise, everyone will have their own opinions and experiences. One person could have a model that was broken on delivery, missing parts etc.... While the next raves about how well it worked and how easy it was. Usually, I am able to take all the various information and feedback, and come to a conclusion of my own, without getting sucked in to anyone's specific view. That is not the case this time. I seem to keep coming across polar opposite information which leaves me at step 1. One person rants about the flimsy quality and instability, another raves about how solid and reliable it is! So, I figured I would try another approach....Try to narrow it down to a handful of models, put it out to you all, and hopefully get the feedback to help me pick the best one overall. I'm needing to keep this under $300 Canadian, so any models listed here are those I've found for that price range. I would prefer to go the DIY kit, with the assumption that I can then get more quality/features for the money if saving from having to build it myself. However, not necessary. Please feel free to offer your two cents or feedback for any of the models below, you don't have to just say : "get this one". Thanks in advance, and looking forward to getting to know you all:1) Creality 3d Ender 32) Creality 3D CR-7 https://www.banggood.com/DIY-Mini-Cr...r_warehouse=CN 3) Reprap Prusa i3 3D printer kit (seems good value, but reviews scare me a bit) https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B071JLR2P4/..._1?psc=14)Anet A85)Anet A66) TRONXY? P802M DIY 3D Printer Kit 7)Geeetech? Prusa I3 Pro W DIYI have a few more for consideration, but I'll start with those and await your thoughts

out of those - it would have to be the prusa.
The guy invented that particular style of 3d printer and has been improving the design ever since.
(looks at link) Ah okay, that's NOT a prusa.
    Avoid acrylic frames.

I've yet to decide on the one arm style machines.
    Have a look at monoprice mini-delta: https://www.amazon.ca/Monoprice-Cali...ice+3d+printer

Not a huge build volume - but one helluva good printer and ideal for a first timer as it's got everything a far more expensive machine would have: auto levelling, wifi, fast, quiet, removeable, flexible printing plate.
And it's just about the cutest machine I've ever seen.
As soon as they become available in the uk (postage and import tax from the states are ridiculous) I'll buy one.
    Check out the youtube reviews.
That single negative review on amazon is pretty much the only negative review I've seen for one of these.

If you want to stick with the i3's have alook at Tevo: https://www.amazon.ca/TEVO-Tarantula...evo+3d+printer
All aluminium extrusion frames. And generally well built machines.
You'll find a huge user base for the tarantula, with lots of mods and improvements.
The advantage over the ones you listed is tyat you're starting with a standard aluminium frame. So easier to bolt stuff to and giving rigidity that a 3d printer needs.

Bunch of stuff for them on thingiverse :-)

The Flash is worth a look - might be slightly out opf your budget once you've done a currency conversion - but it's still pretty close: https://tevo3dprinterstore.com/produ...truder-as-gift

With the choices I see here would go with the
    Tevo: https://www.amazon.ca/TEVO-Tarantula...evo+3d+printer

I however own two Hictops so my decision is slightly swayed in that direction.
So I suggest this ridged T-Slot aluminum frame with steel Power supply, Controller, Z stepper motors and Filament Holder brackets.

Note: that the Stepper motor brackets are slightly too thin so you should 3D Print this first.

Owning two Hictops and Have already posted setup for Marlin 1.1.x for this 3D Printer.
