Which filament is good ABS or PLA?

3D Printing is getting enlarge now a days. Many people are getting attracted towards 3d printing. But the question occurs whether ABS filament is better or PLA filament is better?
Can anyone help me out for this.

I much prefer pla.

Have only used PLA so I can not make an informed logical decision as of Yet.

ABS is harder to print but is more consistent in formulation and more durable once printed (less sensitive to heat and less brittle), it's also easier to sand.

ABS is a more professional quality polymer and as such requires more professional handling.
I am very happily printing with PLA since over four years.
