Hi all,

I was given a Davinci Jr as a present for my first 3d printer and its been all good for just printing little gimmicks and low poly objects but I'm beginning to want a better quality printer that accepts other materials.

I've looked around and in the UK the CTC makerbot replicator 2 clone is a very reasonable price but I've heard mixed reviews both good and bad as well as some people saying you need to make large amounts of modifications otherwise it's a waste.

I've seen some good reviews about the prusa 3d printers but its very cheap and not sure how good it is.

I'm hoping someone can help me know if this is a good choice or if theres another alternative around £300.

Many thanks.
