so now all you need is to incorporate it in a nice shiny cabinet and get some crowd funding cash :-)

Been doing some more work on this project.

I am at v3 of the machine.

Switched to using a raspberry pi 0 w as the controller is stead of a netbook. The pi has a real serial interface and the chip doing the usb to serial did not really like emi in terferance with the new linear actuator I was using.

    Hello,

Like your 3D Printing system ingenious.

Like you I too had EFI problems, It started when I purchased a 2nd 3D Printer that was 24volt Hictop 3DP12.
I solved you EFI troubled by 3D Printing a case and lining it with Aluminum Duct tape and Grounding the Duct tape.

This was a simple fix you may think about as a solution for your EFI troubles, I will supply a link to the My Complete Post.

Would really like to hear more about this 3D Printer you built.

I too print on a disposable print surface, though my surface is a Vinyl transfer Paper Tape used for transferring Cut Vinyl from its origin surface.
Vinyl transfer Paper Tape cost about 10cents per 1 Foot bed covering, is quit a bit more than your single sheet printer paper, though is still disposable and has a adhesive back.

I am interested in having some one replicate the printer.

I have been working through getting the documentation together.

If you are interested PM me and we can chat on google hang outs.

you mention a r-pi as controller. But still has netbook in the video.
presumably you could mount the pi somewhere on the printer frame.

How easily do the prints detach from the paper ?

I printed a model on a sheet of paper, if you roll the paper under the print model paper comes right off.

On larger prints, I could not keep the single sheet paper flat enough clipped or taped to keep print from warping, even resorted to a 90lb card stock paper.

Could you direct me to a video showing your printer printing a larger 3D Model.

Any videos of larger prints ?
Like the new bed and removal system, though it does lose printed information attached to the print, which was also quite neat :-)

Good luck with the kickstarter :-)

for anyone out there - the $599 for printer and autodrop kit is a bloody good deal, still 10 left !
