Javier Montiel is a bilingual teacher at Houston’s Velasco Elementary School. And thanks to the LulzBot Mini 3D printer on hand there, he has been able to get very creative in teaching students how to master the Spanish language, beginning with understanding syllables. He 3D printed visual aids in the form of working mats, as well as a necklace composed of different rings strung onto a shoelace. They also made a digital version for the tablet.
