Additive Engineering Solutions (AES) is a small company with a big 3D printer. The Akron-based company, which held an open house yesterday, is in possession of one of only 13 Big Area Additive Manufacturing (BAAM) machines, and the only one available for commercial contract use. It's also home to a 5-axis CNC router and 3D scanner. While the small, young company only has three employees and just became operational in January, it's already impressed customers with its energy and drive. Yesterday, 3DPrint.com was present as AES held an open house with representatives from Goodyear and GE, as well as the Mayor of Akron.
