Industrial and architectural artist KXIV has put the designs on sneakers once again, this time embellishing the top of a pair of Adidas Ultraboost soles. Meant to remind us of the National Stadium in Beijing, designed by Herzog and de Meuron, the athletic shoes have a bird’s nest design. This is symbolic of the nickname for the stadium, given by the Chinese people: ‘The Bird’s Nest.’ 3D printing is incorporated in the lace locks, of which there are two. Read more at
