Stratasys has been working with Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, UK for some time now in order to help them get the medical models and surgical preparation tools they need. Now, the hospital is making the leap to developing its own in house 3D printing capabilities with a Stratasys Objet Eden350V 3D printer. The inclusion of on site printing facilities at the hospital is estimated to bring a cost savings of up to £20,000 per surgery and reduce surgical planning time by as much as 93%.
