Already sailors have been using the machine to print out all sorts of tiny parts. Although the Navy thinks that widespread usage of such a device is still many years away, they have recognized the fact that now is the perfect time to begin testing 3d printers out on board their ships. The ship will leave port sometime later this year, and that is when the real tests begin. How will the printer be able to handle rough seas, the vibration of a 70,000 HP engine, or other various bumps along the way? What are your opinions on this development? Let's hear them.
