Columbus, Ohio-based IC3D got its start in 2012 when CEO and Founder Michael Cao found that there wasn't filament on the market that provided the performance he wanted -- so he decided to make his own. What began as a side project of the then-Honda engineer has since turned into a full-time endeavor and a team of about 10 people who create 3D printing filament, offer 3D printing services, and focus on large-scale FDM capabilities, including their one-cubic-meter build volume 3D printer, which they call Norma.
