The invasion, along with an electromagnetic wave, has destroyed most of the world's electronics, but there's at least one kind of device that has survived: 3D printers. As players battle the invading aliens, they're able to replenish their supplies by 3D printing them within the game. Not only is that a cool feature that sets Earthfall apart from similar games, it's an interesting nod to the ways that video games and 3D printing have been overlapping in both the virtual and real worlds.
