Willing to spend £500-£700 on 3D Printer - any tips please?

    Hi all.

I really wanted to buy the XYZ Da Vinci 1.0 AiO because of the fact that it had a scanner and a decent build platform size but I've read too many bad reviews on this to go any further:

Please can I ask for any recommendations in this price range?

    Thank you.

    Hi,

I recommend the Wanhao duplicator or Ultimaker Original. Lulzbot printers are good too.
For 3D scanning you can use a Kinect sensor - XYZ also has a handheld scanner with 1.5mm resolution for $149.

I am also looking for a 3D printer to replace my Ultimaker Original for at least one year.
It has to be compatible with 2.85mm filament.
Budget around $500. It will be another Ultimaker Original, TAZ4 or Velleman K8200 - I greatly appreciate other recommendations.
Dual extrusion, paste extrusion and CNC modification is greatly desired.
Let me know, I am planning to make a purchase within a month.

    Thanks,
    Ralph
