The medical technology company Stryker recently completed a pre-clinical trial on their 3D printed Tritanium Posterior Lumbar (PL) Cage Spinal Implant, a highly porous and biocompatible material developed using their proprietary Tritanium Technology. In the study, the 3D printed cage implant was compared with traditional PEEK cages and plasma-sprayed titanium-coated PEEK cages, and demonstrated superior range of motion, quality bone in-growth profile, and greater construct stiffness. The Stryker team will share the results of this study at the upcoming North American Spine Society (NASS) Meeting, which takes place in Boston from October 26-29.
