Last year, SEIKO Optical Europe, Hoet Design Studio, and Materialise all collaborated to create the SEIKO Xchanger collection, a custom 3D printed eyewear product line designed to fit the athletic needs and facial features of the wearer. These sunglasses were recently used in the North Pole by polar explorer Dixie Dansercoer, who had them personalized to fit his facial features and environmental need. In contrast to traditional glasses, which left a gap between his face and the frame of the eyewear, the 3D printed sunglasses provided the perfect fit and vision for the outdoor adventurer.
