A research team from MIT CSAIL has decided to make it easier for all of us to design 3D models for printing. While much progress has been made in the area of multi-material 3D printing, up until now it has been difficult due to the complexity in design. The researchers have created a system called Foundry, which relies on nearly 100 operators that act as fine-tuned actions. With them, users can subdivide objects, remap coordinate systems, and assign properties to different parts of objects. Read more at 3DPrint.com: https://3dprint.com/151849/foundry-m...l-3d-modeling/
