The Junkers F13, which took its first flight in 1919, was the first all-metal passenger aircraft ever to be constructed and flown. It was retired in 1951, but this year, luggage manufacturer RIMOWA unveiled an exact replica of the plane, which was painstakingly built from a CAD file after a 3D scan was taken of one of the original airplanes.
