Female conjoined twins born at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL were certainly blessed with the right group of doctors. The twins were connected by the heart, and specifically the atrium, making the surgery not rare just in that they were separating conjoined twins, but also extremely challenging due to the area of attachment. The medical team constructed a 3D printed conjoined twin heart, and with that they were able to strategize how to proceed with a surgery.
