It’s time to hit the movies! Looking forward to seeing Morgan in theaters, we’re quite fascinated with what Luke Scott, son of famed director Ridley Scott, has created—not only as a movie—but as an ongoing conversation regarding what the future holds for the bioprinting of not only organs, but whole people. In his movie, Scott presents a 3D printed, genetically engineered. She grows at an accelerated rate, is brilliant, strong, and only five years old if you are counting in human years and time. She begins to cause problems quickly though, and the question emerges as to what she is owed in terms of human rights. Luke Scott spent a great deal of time researching information for the movie, and found that researchers are indeed creating genetic 3D printers and progressing further and further in their quest not only to see artificial intelligence evolve, but also the science of genetic engineering as well.
