After launching their fourth Project Call back in March, the government-funded organization America Makes has unveiled the seven awardees that they will offer funding to, which consists of a number of educational institutions and 3D printing companies. Each of the seven universities and companies, which include Carnegie Mellon University, University of Texas at El Paso, 3D Systems, Raytheon, and others, will aim to enhance a particular piece of the 3D printing industry. These projects include developing biomimetic materials, lattice structures, 3D printed electronics, metal casting, wire embedding, and more.
