Ultimaker 2 3D Printer Releases Source Files

It's been a big day for Ultimaker! First off, they have appointed a new CEO, one of their co-founders, Siert Wijnia. The other piece of big news is that they have finally publicly released the Ultimaker 2 Source Files.

The team at Ultimaker have always put Open sourcing as a main priority of the company, as it allows for more open innovation.

I think we met Siert last September at the New York Maker Faire. We got our new Ultimaker 2 last month and it has been printing flawlessly!

I love how Ultimaker kept their promise making this open source. I'm guessing it will hurt their future sales a little but I think everyone will be happy.
