Researchers from Virginia Tech, led by Xiaoyu “Rayne” Zheng, have discovered a new technique for scaling nanotechnology up instead of down, allowing them to harness the strong yet lightweight and mechanical properties. The team uses a digital light 3D printing technique that allows them to work with the nanomaterials without sacrificing resolution or size. This new process also allows the researchers to harness more photon energy directly from the surface area. Read more at 3DPrint.com: https://3dprint.com/142912/scaling-nanotechnology-up/
