Paula Szarejko Creates Own Jewelry Molds Using ZMorph 2.0 SX 3D Printer
Jewelry designer Paula Szarejko was looking for a way to speed up the production of her jewelry molds. The traditional methods were both expensive, and took 8 to 12 days to ship, which isn’t ideal when making jewelry to order. So she decided to see if she could create her own jewelry molds using her ZMorph 2.0 SX 3D printer, and she came up with a pretty simple process that really almost anyone can use. The title makes it seem like she printed the molds, but she didn't, instead printing the jewelry parts and making molds from them using conventional RTV techniques. I guess she was outsourcing her mold work previously, hence the 8-12 day delay, but this process isn't any faster than making molds from conventionally-produced masters.
What's wrong with this prting?
