Today a 3d printer filament company called Polymakr has launched 3 new filaments which they are looking to get funded on Kickstarter. The 3 Filaments are called PolyWood, PolyMax PLA, and PolyFlex. They are seeking $25,000 from the crowdfunding platform by April 13th.

All three filaments have exceptional benefits to the regular filaments you and I are used to, according to the company. The kickstarter project can be viewed here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...desktop-3d-pri

Looks like they're not going to have any trouble at all meeting their goal. They're up to $17,750 already.

It is interesting, but for PLA, IMHO, what is needed is a material with a higher glass transition temperature, so it won't soften and deform under heat conditions that are not very rare, like inside a car parked under the sun or for use in electronics where some parts can get hot.
