The Anvil 3D printer, which just launched on Kickstarter, is just about the simplest printer to hit the market yet. The compact, cubelike printer consists of a single button, requires no calibration or setting of parameters, and even auto-loads filament. As for software, the Anvil team promises that their iPad app makes designing as easy as building with Legos. The printer is expected to retail at about $350, but Kickstarter supporters can get it for as little as $199. The campaign, which aims to raise $100,000, runs until June 9.
