    3D Printing News Includes Mass Portal 3D Printers, Autodesk Acquires Solid Angle

    This week's 3D printing news covers a partnership forged between Latvia's Mass Portal and Ohio's DesignBox3D, for the distribution of Mass Portal's high-quality 3D printers. Also, in an effort to get more into the 3D animation game, Autodesk has acquired Solid Angle. This week two awards were presented in the 3D printing space. One was to 3D System's founder Charles W. Hull, and the other award went to the manufacturing company Faustson. Finally, Hong Kong's 3D Fab Lab has unveiled its new Novio 3D printer, which has a simple design and excellent software package that is sure to make the printer attractive to 3D printing novices.     Does anyone else hate the phrase: 'best in it's class'.

    It's utterly meaningless - the novio has the largest print volume in it's class. It's 200x200x225 - standard for most i3's
    But given that most 3d printers are the only ones in their 'class' - ie: the model made by that particular manufacturer.

    It's just annoying.

    Nice looking printer though :-)
