    Cooling fan failed on left extruder...stop using left extruder?

    Will continuing to print with an extruder with a fan that no longer works cause damage to the extruder?

    Well, depends.

    If it's an all-metal extruder, definitely yes.

    If it's not an all-metal extruder, then no BUT your print quality will degrade noticeably for materials with active cooling (like PLA) because it won't cool fast enough.
