SD3D has pulled off a very exciting feat, 3D printing the largest prototype of a city ever. Measuring 9′ x 10.5′, the 3D printed metropolis was part of a project with insurance titan Aon, working to show off all the areas of insurance that they serve, along with specialized benefits. With hundreds of tiny pieces, including plants, trees, skyscrapers, and more, the SD3D team spent 200 hours on design and a stunning 3,000 hours in 3D printing—using 12 different 3D printers.
