Makerbot Replicator 2 Printing problem !!!!!!

Hi everyone ! I have a Makerbot R2. Recently i cannot print things with supports or small detailed object. Its broken in the midle (and extruder makes clicking noise- gears and noozle are clean) even all settings are default. My ceramic tape was broken so i use an insulation tape instead, do u think that causes the result? Thank u and sorry for my bad english!

Its possible the change in tape is making it too hot to print solid.

The clicking noise suggests a clog of some kind, but since the gears are clean it's possible the filament roll is tied up or caught on it self.

Also, when printing at different layer heights the distance from the bed to the nozzle will need to change. For smaller layers, closer and more precise height. some trail and error may be needed to fine tune the height.
