How do I clean up this mess?????

So I have been having problems with my jobs stopping randomly in the middle of the print. Flashforge suggested I format my SD and try again. So I did this last night with a newer faster SD than the one that came with the printer. The job was going very well until at around 20% it just stopped. Well this time it looked like the filament broke off. I had some trouble reloading it, but got it loaded. I started the job again this morning, and about 1 minute into the print, this mess happened. Now I know how to take off the fan and heat sink to clean the feeder gear/bolt. But how do I clean off the extruder tip and the thermal padding around the tip? Such a mess... Oh yea and Im using PLA.

Heat it up and wipe it off... use a brass brush if you need to.

Yep, just heat up the nozzle and wipe off.

As to the general issue, what temperature are you printing at?

could be a mutant plastic spinning spider - just saying :-)

But it comes off pretty easy with a hot nozzle. If you don't have asbestos skin like me - use gloves :-)
