    Computer advice for large 3D models

    Can I get some advice on the kind of specs needed for a computer to run large 3D models of structures for 3D printing.

    The structures will have 100,000+ rectangle units and trying to design this has crashed most (low end spec) computers I have thrown it at. Can anyone give me a rough idea? I'm assuming I need something with high CPU and GPU power, correct?

    Yes. Get lots of RAM and a good graphics card too, while you're at it. What's your budget? What programs are you trying to run?
