We created this cute little articulated elephant last month for our friends in Nante, at IRT Jules Verne (France).

Their city is well known for their giant puppets. The most famous one is a huge robotic elephant, the size of a building.
Since they bought a lot of material from le FabShop, including a ton of MakerBots, our creative director, Samuel N. Bernier designed this little toy to be used as a goodie.

It had a great success, so we decided to share it with you.

The six sides will need to be glued together and paint added. I imagine it best to print in white and add black paint in the QR "holes".

as soon as i get a chance i will make one. I am a bit worried about warping - so it might be best to print one side at a time - the individual sides will spend less time on the hot plate.

No, the mount is not extreme, that is the terrible name for this sonicare series. This mount allows your toothbrush to hang out on the wall, decluttering your medicine cabinet. Just print and stick with a 3M command strip.

I modelled this on Ubermeister's Beer Bottle Stein Holder, which I printed early January, The one and only problem I had with it was the very thin neck support holding the bottle. I found that when printing, the neck tended to miss align so that the material didn't adhere very well and was quite weak. I remodelled this with Inventor 2014, after several trials came up with a quite solid and strong print. Get your BBQ's ready for summer and start printing.

#17 - Lara Croft Toon Figurine

This is a figure I made based on the style of Andreas' Agent 47 that he made based on the Hitman Absolution Collector's Edition Figurine. His Hitman can be found here:

I've cut my Lara into pieces to help reduce the amount of supports needed and to make the prints cleaner and easier to paint. The pieces peg together and will stay put, but she comes apart easily if not glued together.

I've included .x3g files that I used to print this (created for Replicator 2 with PLA filament). I've tried various ways to print the pieces and these files are the best combination that I've found. I've also included .objs if you want to set up the print files yourself or won't be printing in PLA. The body can print on its feet without supports and the left arm with the climbing hook seems to need a raft as well as supports enabled. The other parts only need supports. Here are estimate print times for the .x3g files I used.

Body - 96min
Head - 226min
PonyTail - 44min
Arm Left - 58min
Arm Right - 47min

Total - 471min (7.85 hours)

Parts share mating features, and can be stacked as many times, in as many different configurations as you please.

Some parts are very intensive on your slicing engine, i recommend only attempting this with a good PC, and printing directly from SD card, if possible.

I have now added some cross section views for people to better understand the air flow.
