Japanese company Cyfuse Biomedical is known for their development of the Kenzan method of bioprinting, which, unlike other methods, does not depend on scaffolding to develop cells into tissue. The method is capable of producing firm, elastic tissues with much less risk of cell damage than traditional methods, and their Regenova 3D Bio Printer has been generating a lot of interest within research organizations. Now, the Regenova printer is being used for the first time outside Japan, thanks to a partnership with San Diego cell bank Cell Applications.
