Patents are keeping the industry from growing

I hate the whole thing with Patents. If it weren't for patents, it wouldn't have taken 3D printing the 30 years it has taken to evolve. I wish Patents didn't exist, we'd be so much more advanced in the 3d printing industry if that were the case.

Heck, we'd be so much more advanced as a society.

It's true, but it's just a fact of life. You can't have people stealing other people's ideas and making money off of them. People that invent stuff should get paid handsomely for their inventions.

If we didn't have patents we wouldn't have 3D printers, or TV's, or the light bulb. It's because of the patent that we had the industrial revolution. People don't want to go through all the work of coming up with an idea just so they can have everyone else make the money off of it.
