Greg Zumwalt of Oklahoma is an experienced technogeek who upon the suggestion of a friend decided to take on a project similar to that of what they reviewed in a "Disney Computation Designs of Mechanical Characters" video featuring Cyber Tiger. With the creation of his 3D printed, moving Saber, Greg took ‘numerous liberties’ to accommodate for 3D printing, and also stated that it was one of his most challenging projects to date. He used Sketchup Make 2015 and his MakerBot Replicator 2, printing in PLA with standard settings. It stands almost eight inches tall and twelve inches when fully extended from head to toe. It’s a large design, but the Saber is able to be printed in smaller components. Because of the difficulty involved in the project, he invites anyone working on making their own version to contact him with questions or comments.
