As Hurricane Patricia came swirling into the Mexican Pacific coast area over the weekend, said to be the strongest storm in history as a category five boasting 200 mph winds and more, residents began boarding up and evacuating. In the midst of this massive weather event, however, Mexican startup TechMind began thinking of a way to produce the storm in 3D print. Using the Embossify program to make the 3D file, the TechMind team used a Tinkerine DittoPro 3D printer to fabricate compact 3D models of the storm, which are great for educational purposes--or just to sit on the desk as a novelty item.
