Project Runway showed off not only some incredible fashion designs this week, but also the art of 3D printing as the group of five designers was asked to meet the 3D printing avant garde design challenge. Using famous bridges of New York City as their inspiration, designers had $200 and two days, along with a bit of training from the 3D Systems team, to come up with creations stunning enough to impress the judges and hopefully keep themselves on the show. [Spoiler alert!] Kelly Dempsey won with her brown angular dress, reminiscent of crocodile skin. As a reward, she was given a 3D Systems Cube 3D printer.
