An intensive project between the Virtual Curation Laboratory at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and the Virginia Museum of Natural History has culminated in a large and very impressive student-led exhibit called Visualizing and Exhibiting Anthropology. Using 3D scanning and 3D printing, as well as many hours spent in post-processing hand painting the pieces, students were introduced to not only ways of preserving the past, but they learned how to use a lot of new technology--gaining a very valuable skil lset in the process.
