    Interesting email from monoprice.

If you ever go to an industry 3d printer/additive manufacturing show. Be assured in the weeks immediately after you will receive a lot of emails from the people you talked to.

Got one from monoprice this morning:
Thank you for visiting our booth at TCT, attached please find a brief presentation with an overview of our company and our current lineup of 3D printers. In just about 4 years Monoprice has become the best-selling 3D printing brand in the world (announced at TCT by Context AM3DP).

Our current lineup of 3D printers includes 4 models:

Maker Select V2 – Great choice if you want an affordable 3D printer: easy to assemble, fully modifiable, compatible with different software and OS, provide good results (£299.99)
Maker Select Plus – The Maker Select Plus has 50% faster print speed than the Maker Select V2, smaller footprint and integrated control design (£379.99)
Maker Ultimate – Professional 3D printer with remarkable build quality at very affordable price (£789.99)
MP Select Mini 3D Printer V2 (White & Black model) – Best-selling 3D printer in the world (£229.99)

We have inventory available in UK and can be purchased via: www.monoprice.uk

At TCT we also presented 4 upcoming 3D printers:

    · Our first Delta Mini 3D printer, this model was launched on Indiegogo, we raised over $300k in one month. We shipped out orders to our Indiegogo backers, we are expecting stock in the coming months; Retail price £179.99
    · Mini SLA Resin 3D Printer: build area of 120x70x200mm and a layer resolution capability of 35 microns (£500)

    · MP203 Dual 3D Printer: Dual extruder, heated build plate, real time print viewing (on board camera with mobile support), real time active temperature environmental control (£1400)
    · MP150 3D Printer: Easy operation and setup, only 4 taps to start your print, fully enclosed with built in door sensor to ensure safe printing workflow, Smart filament system (£500)
    · MP300 3D Printer: Easy operation and setup, only 4 taps to start your print, fully enclosed with built in door sensor to ensure safe printing workflow, Smart filament system (£2000)

We offer a large variety of filaments: PLA, ABS, PETG, Specialty (currently available in US only – available in Europe next month)

In addition we can provide replacement parts to keep our printers running with original components made for our 3D printers: 3D Printer Accessories
Now I didn't actually see the sla machine, too busy drooling over the mini-delta. But at £500 and with a build area of 120x70x200mm, that will put it firmly in the 'cheapest sla machine worth buying ' category.

Given that resin is still around the £100 per litre and for fdm filament I'm currently paying around £14 per kg - it's not something I'll be getting into any time soon.
The mini delta on the other hand, I might just buy at uk launch. Use a 0.25mm nozzle and you can get prints damn near sla quality anyway.

And if you fancy a discounted flashforge inventor 2 - look no further than the monoprice mp300 - the one on their stand actually still had the flashforge branding. Someone had used a marker pen to block it out, and then someone else had scraped that off to reveal the Flashforge logo :-)

Monoprice have clearly got a great business approach that is working: sell quality machines at competitive prices - keep up the good work people :-)
