Lightbulb HIPS filament is Great !

HIPS 'High-Impact PolyStyrene' is a good filament for printing Many types of objects.
We are now using it instead of ABS, where high-strength is needed.

It got a reputation as a 'Support' only plastic, which is a Shame, since it can also be used for much More.

It sometimes has a slight warping but not as bad as ABS warps.

As long as you don't soak it in solvents all day , it works. LOL

ABS only "warps" (corner lift) if you're not in the proper environment - 50C ambient, 80C bed = no issues in my experience.

It's like complaining that a certain brand of paint doesn't adhere well - when you're painting in the rain.

It seems that ABS does Not like the "environment" in our Neighborhood !
All Other plastics seem to Enjoy it though !
So, of course we will use what Works, and discard what does Not.

But My intent was not to Bad-mouth ABS but was to say how Good HIPS really Is .
and should Not have the Bad Reputation it has.

I like printing with HIPS. Has a different feel to both ABS and PLA. Very clean and smooth finish.
