    You'd think that if you can generate 100% support, you could just generate a solid model from the top surfaces down to a plane, say 1mm below the lowest point... at least, I don't see the difficulty in theory.

    nope in theory it should do it.
    In practice it just doesn't.

    Add Marm on Thingiverse
    I use the CADspan plugin for STL importing. Seems to work the best.

    But yeah, When i import the STL, it locks up. I let it sit for a while, and still only 1%. I'm assuming there's a buttload (that's a real measurement btw) of weird geometry SU doesn't like.

    I've imported other Stl's and done similar work to them in SU, dunno why this one doesn't.
