Designers Scott Kildall and Bryan Cera, who got themselves into a bit of legal hot water with their first issuance of a 3D printed set of chess pieces inspired directly--and quite obviously by Marcel Duchamp’s art and passion for chess--did cease and desist as ordered. Now, they have re-released the set, but bearing mustaches, and with a new project name. They hope that the second 3D printed set will work as a compromise with Duchamp’s estate, protected by parody.
